Shane has been providing advice and services with Tax and Business Advisory for over 30 years. Shane has developed and maintained strong relationships over those years. He is very hands on and maintains a personal service.

Shane is a Chartered Accountant, who has worked in and around all areas of Taxation and Advice. Finding solutions to problems and interpreting complex matters into simple, easy-to-understand terms is his specialty, as well as Taxation Returns of all shapes and sizes. It is all designed to ensure that clients feel like they have gained something from their personal dealings.

As part of his development, he was Treasurer of the State Body of Canteen for four years with one year on the National Committee. He had seven years as President of CBC Old Collegians Football Club and another year as Treasurer. One of his biggest challenges was his election to the West Adelaide Football Club board where he served as Finance Director for six years.

Shane is a tragic sports fan and gets excited over any sports conversation. This has lead to providing services to many leading sports people in AFL, AFLW, ATP Tennis, Soccer and Racing Industries.

Abbey Spurr

RECEPTIONIST

Abbey joined the team in February 2026, bringing with her a background in hospitality and a natural focus on making people feel welcome. She’s friendly, organised, and always happy to help, making sure things run smoothly and every client feels looked after. In her spare time she enjoys pilates and socialising with family and friends.

Deb Adams

SMSF MANAGER

Deb is a pioneer in the area of Self Managed Superannuation Funds. Having been an integral part of one of Australia’s largest SMSF administration providers, Deb has ridden the wave of changes in superannuation over the last 26 years.

Deb will care for all aspects of your SMSF fund such as accounting, finance, taxation and coordination of the Audit. It is all about client service and satisfaction – nothing is too small or too big.

She also has an interest in not-for-profits, having extensive experience on local committees. She has a passion for Korfball and has played and coached for many years. She also loves a good pilates class in her spare time.

Jonah Byrnes

CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT & SMSF CLIENT SERVICES

Jonah holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Chartered Accountancy) from Flinders University, completed in 2020, and achieved his professional accounting accreditation in 2024.

Now a senior associate at Winter & co, Jonah has significant experience in the administration and management of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, along with ongoing work with not-for-profit.

He works across personal and business taxation and has expanded into international tax, as well as the sports and entertainment sectors. Jonah is also a Xero certified adviser, helping clients with practical, technology driven accounting solutions.

Anthony Baldacchino

ACCOUNTANT

Anthony is in his final year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of South Australia. He is a valuable member of the team having joined Winter & Co in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic. He provided much-needed support for clients in the areas of XERO, STP, Job Keeper, and Cash Flow Boost.

Anthony is a self-confessed XERO convert and has invested in understanding all aspects of the software to maximise the benefits for clients. He loves finding solutions for clients and shares the views of Kerry Packer when it comes to minimising taxation.

When he is out of the office and not studying you can usually find him fishing, snorkelling, mountain biking, road biking, or at the gym. To prove our diversity, he is a Port Adelaide supporter.

Hayley Nevin

ADMINISTRATION COORDINATOR

Hayley has been working at Winter & Co for a number of years and previously worked in the Accounting industry after living abroad.

Hayley maintains and assists clients with their ASIC requirements and Corporate Compliance.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

Kayla Wilkie

PERSONAL ASSISTANT

Kayla joined Winter & Co in April 2019, bringing over ten years of experience in customer service. With a strong focus on client satisfaction, she ensures every task is handled with care and no request is ever too much trouble.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, attending live music gigs, and playing football at the Goodwood Saints Football Club. Her dedication and approachable nature make her a great support to both clients and the team at Winter & Co.
